Gaining qualifications & winning awards at PPANI
Celebrating milestones and success! March was an extraordinary month filled with milestones and accomplishments in my photography journey. I some of my images into an annual print competition that is run by the PPANI. The competition had almost 800 entries!
I am thrilled to share the exciting news that I’ve achieved my Licentiate qualification. Additionally, I had 3 of my portraits awarded finalist images. Two of those images then won 2nd runner-up awards at the prestigious Professional Photographers Association of Northern Ireland (PPANI).
Earning my Licentiate qualification is a testament to years of dedication, hard work, and a deep passion for photography. This milestone represents a significant achievement in my professional development. It also reflects my commitment to delivering exceptional quality and creativity in every photograph I capture.
In addition to this achievement, I am honoured to have been recognised at my first PPANI awards gala. Bringing home two 2nd runner-up awards! The first award celebrates my expertise in family portrait photography, a genre that holds a special place in my heart. Capturing the love, connection, and joy shared among family members is a privilege, and I’m grateful to be acknowledged for my contributions to this field.
The second award was for 2nd runner-up in the Open Portrait Photographer of the Year category. In this category I entered a maternity portrait I had taken of one of my beautiful clients during her maternity session. Whether it’s individual portraits, couples, or themed shoots, I strive to create images that resonate with viewers on a personal level.
These accolades wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my clients, whose trust and enthusiasm inspire me to continually strive for excellence. I am immensely grateful to PPANI for recognising my work among such talented photographers in Northern Ireland. These awards and my Licentiate qualification serve as a reminder of how far I’ve come on my photography journey and fuel my determination to continue growing and evolving as a photographer.
As I reflect on these accomplishments, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities I’ve had and excitement for the future. I am more inspired than ever to capture meaningful moments, tell compelling stories, and create lasting memories for my clients.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey so far. Here’s to many more milestones and successes ahead!
